Shayne Fraser

Contributor

In her former life, Shayne worked in directory publishing doing copywriting, editing, and proofreading, among other things too numerous to mention. She also spent time as a newspaper reporter covering schools and education, entertainment and leisure, and whatever else that came up and was newsworthy or of interest.

Currently, Shayne is a freelance writer and stay-at-home mom with a 2 year old son and a little baby girl who have stripped away any shred of professionalism she gained from her years in the corporate world and made it a-ok to wear shirts covered in spit-up, sweatpants every day of the week, and gave her the ability to work at any hour of the day or night. Having young children has broadened her skills making her an expert boo-boo kisser, gourmet chef of picky toddlers, and embarassingly knowledgeable on the world of monster trucks. Having kids has also been the most meaningful part of her life's journey and is the most important job she will ever have.

Shayne writes on the topics of parenting, health and wellness, politics, travel, and whatever other interesting subjects cross her path. She has a degree in Journalism with a second concentration in Political Science. She and her husband recently moved from the big city and are enjoying life in a small Midwestern town.
